Gerald Dempsey Posey is the 2nd Half All-Star of the day.  Starring for the former New York baseball Giants of the National League, Posey is batting .390 since the break.  His stellar 32 HR average/550 ABs and 43% H/BIP in this most recent half secures his spot as catcher for the NL 2nd Half All-Stars.

Cody Ross was a 26 year-old journeyman earning the league-minimum in 2007 after posting a .227/.293/.431 slash in the NL the previous season.  Late that summer he exploded onto the scene for the last place Florida Marlins.
